The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword's HD remaster is only a few short weeks away and to get fans even more excited for the Nintendo Switch game, Nintendo announced a new amiibo to be launch alongside the game on July 16–an absolutely stunning figure featuring Skyward Sword's Zelda and a Loftwing.

 

 

The new amiibo will also unlock a special fast-travel system, saving your place on either the ground or sky once the amiibo is tapped on the Switch. According to the video, the new feature will only be available with the amiibo, and those without will have to still use the owl statues to teleport between areas.

 

Both the new amiibo and The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD takes to the skies on Nintendo Switch on July 16. The amiibo will be sold separately from the game.
