After the Meiji Restoration (the period of modernization in which aspects of Western systems and culture were adopted), former local lord called Mouri "毛利" constructed the beautiful garden which completed in 1916. These pictures are from the starting point of the drive way of the garden to the entrance. I hope the pine trees along side the road can be considered as a fence :-)

On the same day we visited Hydrangea Temple (my previous post), my thoughtful (p;) husband stopped by this place saying I might be able to use the pics of the entrance for the Tex's meme.  As it got late and tired to stroll inside, we didn't visit there. 

I'll introduce the garden someday.   Thanks sweetheart;
