With the final volume of Attack on Titan hitting store shelves in Japan on June 9, a special advertisement thanking fans for 12 years of support has started on one of the biggest (and newest!) displays in Shinjuku Station. The titan-sized 45.6 meters long LED panel has a message from the editorial staff of Hajime Isayama's series featuring the heads of titans from the series.

 

 

Publisher Bessatsu Shonen Magazine captured the first video of the screen:

 

 

 

The screen itself is situated in the new East-West Free Passage in JR Shinjuku Station, which has been opened up during the renovations to the world's busiest station, and measures three times the length of Eren's Attack Titan and is one of the largest screens in Japan. The video will be displayed on the screen for the next seven days.

The Attack on Titan manga started in September 2009 and has so far released 33 volumes of the series in Japan. The final volume, the 34th, is scheduled to be released on June 9. Kodansha Comic releases the series in English, with each chapter released simultaneously on Crunchyroll as they came out in Japan.
